Welcome to the second edition of the Herbert Smith Freehills Asia Pacific Competiton Law Guide.
There have been a number of significant developments since the publication of our inaugural guide last year: for instance, Mainland China has seen a significant uptick in antitrust investigation and enforcement; Hong Kong has published its long-awaited draft guidelines - a major milestone towards full implementation of the Competition Ordinance in Hong Kong; Indonesia is pressing ahead with anticipated major reforms to its existing regime, to name but a few.
As with the first edition, the guide covers jurisdictions in which Herbert Smith Freehills and its associated offices have an established presence, namely: Australia, Greater China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore and Thailand. It is intended to provide clients, business people and lawyers with concise information on the competition law regimes, both antitrust and merger control, in these key jurisdictions across the region.
