The African Union designated 2018 as its year for "winning the fight against corruption".  But what trends and issues are emerging in practice?  What compliance and investigations developments should multinationals be aware of in key jurisdictions?

In this webinar Cameron Dunstan-Smith, a Director in our Johannesburg office and global corporate crime team, provided an update on investigations and compliance trends in a number of key jurisdictions, including:

  • the enforcement environment;
  • a practitioner's insights on investigation trends in Africa; and
  • the risk to multinationals operating in Africa and the role of the private sector in combating corruption.

Cameron was  joined by Jonathan Mattout, a Partner in our Paris team whose experience includes advocating in corruption cases before courts in France and a number of Francophone African countries, to discuss these developments.
