In support of the Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and breast cancer awareness month, we are delighted to bring you two exclusive on-demand videos featuring an update from NBCF and a focus on wellness from The Australian Ballet.

First, an update from NBCF with Assoc Prof Samantha Oakes, Director of Research Investment. In this conversation, hosted by Herbert Smith Freehills Partner Kristin Stammer, Samantha discusses how the Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on fundraising, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and, as very recently being in the lab herself, how researchers managed. Sam also discusses the current focus of NBCF in achieving its goal of zero deaths from breast cancer.

Second, a fascinating conversation with David Hallberg, Artistic Director at The Australian Ballet and Dr Sue Mayes AM, Director of Artistic Health. The discussion, led by Herbert Smith Freehills' Global Director of Culture & Inclusion Danielle Kelly, explores The Australian Ballet’s remarkable health program, which has been of particular importance during the pandemic.

Our clients have often joined us in our support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We invite you to donate to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to help further research into prevention and cure. Herbert Smith Freehills will make our usual gift donation to the Foundation.
