Our Employment, IR and Safety team have been tracking policy statements and the major parties’ plans as the election draws nearer. Whilst both Labor and the Coalition have made clear they will be principally focused on cost-of-living issues, regardless of the outcome on 3 May, the next Federal Government will either further entrench our current framework or move to introduce more change to our system. Given that the result of the last federal election led to the most significant reforms to industrial relations in more than a decade, we await further announcements with keen interest.
