International law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Tideway on a £700 million loan from the European Investment Bank for the Thames Tideway Tunnel, the biggest infrastructure project ever undertaken by the UK water industry.
The European Investment Bank's backing for the Thames Tideway Tunnel represents its largest-ever loan for water investment worldwide and covers a significant proportion of Tideway's required financing as it moves into the construction phase.
The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by finance partner David Wyles and associate Bishoy Eskander.
