Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has promoted four new partners in Asia as part of its annual global partnership promotions.

The new partners, from the firm’s preeminent disputes and corporate teams in Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore, are experienced practitioners with well-established reputations in the marketplace:

Isaac Chen, Beijing

Isaac advises Chinese and multinational clients on China-related capital markets and cross-border M&A transactions across a broad range of sectors . He also specialises in securities compliance matters. Isaac graduated from Zhejiang University, The University of Hong Kong and Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law and Kellogg School of Management. He is qualified in England and Wales and the State of New York.

Jojo Fan, Hong Kong

Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, Jojo has a broad commercial litigation practice and extensive experience advising clients on cross-border, China-related disputes. Jojo specialises in contentious banking litigation and has significant experience in representing banks in mis-selling cases, unauthorised trading disputes, financial regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings. She also advises Hong Kong-listed companies on boardroom, shareholder and joint venture disputes. Jojo graduated from the University of Hong Kong with bachelor's degrees in law and social sciences (government and laws), and is qualified in both Hong Kong and England and Wales.

Jamie McLaren, Singapore

Jamie has played an integral role in strengthening the firm’s M&A offering in Southeast Asia with a particular focus on tech, media and telecoms. His practice focuses on cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures,  minority strategic investments including corporate venturing and early equity fundraising, restructurings and reorganisations. Jamie worked in the firm’s London office before relocating to the Singapore office in 2018. A law graduate of the University of Aberdeen, Jamie is admitted to practice in Scotland and is a registered foreign lawyer in Singapore.

Gitta Satryani, Singapore

Gitta is an experienced lawyer specialising in complex cross-border disputes, international arbitration and public international law. Fluent in English, Bahasa Indonesia (her native language) and Bahasa Melayu, Gitta graduated from the National University of Singapore and is qualified as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. She advises companies, states and SOEs on complex cross-border issues and disputes across a wide range of sectors. Gitta has worked in the firm's London office and is now based in Singapore where she works closely with our affiliate firm Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung in Indonesia and is an indispensable link between that firm's Jakarta disputes practice and Herbert Smith Freehills' global network.

陈敏，北京办公室

陈敏律师就中国遍及多行业的资本市场以及跨境并购交易为中国及跨国客户提供法律服务，并专长于证券合规事务。陈律师毕业于浙江大学、香港大学、美国西北大学普利兹克法学院和凯洛格管理学院，拥有英格兰和威尔士、美国纽约州执业资格。

范芷君，香港办公室

范芷君律师精通英语、粤语和普通话，在商业诉讼领域涉猎广泛，在处理中国相关及跨境争议方面经验丰富。范律师专长于银行争诉事务，曾多次代表银行处理不当销售案件、未经授权的交易纠纷、金融监管调查和执法程序事务。她还为香港上市公司就董事会、股东和合资争议提供法律咨询。范律师毕业于香港大学，获得法律和社会科学（政治及法律）学士学位，拥有香港、英格兰和威尔士执业资格。

Jamie McLaren，新加坡办公室

Jamie McLaren律师在加强史密夫斐尔东南亚并购业务方面发挥了关键作用，专攻科技、媒体和电信行业。他的执业领域涵盖跨境交易、兼并收购、合资、少数股权战略投资（包括创业投资和早期融资）、重组及重整。Jamie McLaren律师曾在史密夫斐尔伦敦办公室工作，于2018年调到新加坡办公室。他毕业于阿伯丁大学法律专业，拥有苏格兰执业资格，是新加坡的注册外国律师。
