Herbert Smith Freehills today announced the promotion of 49 Australian lawyers to the role of senior associate.
Effective from 1 July 2020, the promotions include lawyers from the firm’s Competition, Regulation & Trade; Corporate; Disputes; Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety; and Finance, Real Estate & Projects practices, as well as the firm’s Digital Law Group.

More than 50 per cent of the 49 new senior associates are women, reflecting Herbert Smith Freehills’ on-going focus on diversity and inclusion, and its commitment to attracting, promoting and retaining top female talent.
The promotions follow the appointment of 26 lawyers to the Herbert Smith Freehills global partnership in May, including eight in Australia.
