Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and its associate firms have promoted 11 new senior associates, effective 1 July 2023.

The newly promoted senior associates are drawn from offices and practices across the firm's Asia network.

Of the 11 new senior associates, two have been promoted at Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (HBT), the firm's associate firm in Jakarta, and one at Kewei Law Firm, the firm's joint operation partner in Shanghai.

In addition, telecommunications and competition law specialist Randitya Adiguna has been promoted to become the first Of Counsel at Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung, a new role for the Indonesian legal market leader.

  1. Asia promotions form part of 106 senior associate promotions announced by the firm in Australia, the UK, EMEA and the US today. .
  2. These promotions follow the April announcements of Singapore private capital specialists Victor Chiew and Salonika Kataria's promotion to partnership and of the promotion of five Asia lawyers to counsel at Herbert Smith Freehills.
  3. *David Webb will relocate to the firm's Hong Kong office from 1 August 2023.
