Herbert Smith Freehills’ Venture Capital team has advised Brainfish on its A$3.85 million Series Seed capital raise.
The round was led by Peak XV Partners’ Surge, with contributions from Macdoch Ventures, Black Sheep Capital, Justus Hammer (CEO of Mad Paws), and several angel investors.
This new capital will be employed to fund the continued rapid growth and expansion of the company.
Brainfish is an Australian company that specialises in delivering seamless customer experience solutions by harnessing the power of natural language processing. Brainfish’s ground-breaking AI technology transforms the way that customers and businesses interact globally, by providing instant answers to customer service queries in any language, and uplifting and enhancing customer support agents.
The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by partner and Co-Head of Venture Capital (Australia) Claire Thompson, senior associate Adam Ong and solicitor Samuel Goodear.
