Herbert Smith Freehills appoints Jojo Fan as Managing Partner, China

Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has appointed Jojo Fan as Managing Partner, China, for a three-year term.

A native of Hong Kong and a commercial litigation partner since 2020, Jojo will work closely with Nanda Lau, head of Beijing and Shanghai.

Jojo succeeds partner Matt Emsley, who will continue to focus on his successful Hong Kong capital markets practice.

"Under Jojo's leadership, the team will continue to support our domestic and international clients' ambitions in China, particularly through outbound investment to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, and in energy transition, private capital and tech," said Asia managing partner Graeme Preston.

ABOUT JOJO

A partner since 2020, Jojo has a broad commercial litigation practice and extensive experience advising clients on cross-border China-related disputes. She specialises in contentious banking litigation and advises clients on boardroom, shareholder and joint venture disputes.

Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, Jojo graduated from the University of Hong Kong with bachelor's degrees in law and social sciences (government and laws), and is qualified in both Hong Kong and England & Wales.

范律师精通英语、粤语和普通话，毕业于香港大学，获得法律和社会科学（政府和法律）学士学位，拥有香港、英格兰和威尔士执业资格。
