Leading Indonesian law firm Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung has hired Harris Toengkagie as a disputes partner, expanding its commercial litigation practice alongside its associate firm Herbert Smith Freehills.
Harris has nearly two decades of experience representing and advising national and multinational corporations in litigation and dispute resolution, employment matters, real estate, competition, and corporate compliance.
He joins Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung partners Debby Sulaiman, Prawidha Murti and Tedy Rachmanto in the firm's thriving Indonesia disputes practice.
"We are excited to welcome Harris to the team. His appointment demonstrates our commitment to investing in, and attracting top talent to, our renowned dispute resolution team," said managing partner Tjahjadi Bunjamin.
"With Indonesia's status as an important investment destination, Harris's experience in complex multi-jurisdictional projects allows our corporate clients to benefit from both his local and cross-border expertise when structuring transactions and investments."
Harris is the latest new partner to join the firm. In May, Tedy Rachmanto and Dandy Firmansyah were promoted to the partnership. Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung has grown by 16 lawyers in the past two years and now has over 80 partners and lawyers.
