Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Mersen in connection with the signing of its US private placement (USPP) issuance of (i) €90,000,000 Series A Senior unsecured notes due April 29, 2032, and (ii) US$ 100,000,000 Series B Senior unsecured notes due April 29, 2035, for general corporate purposes including refinancing of existing corporate debt (of which its Schuldschein maturing in April 2026) and support its 2029 growth plan. The transaction is expected to fund in April 2025.
Mersen is a global leader in electrical power and advanced materials, providing high-performance solutions for industries such as renewable energy, semiconductors, and transportation. Founded in 1891 and headquartered in La Défense, France, Mersen operates over 50 industrial sites and 18 R&D centres across 33 countries.
