The International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR) and the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) have announced an agreement providing for CEDR to be CPR’s exclusive partner in the UK for the promotion of CPR's "21st Century Corporate ADR Pledge".
The Pledge is a CPR initiative under which signatories commit to apply their resources to manage and resolve disputes through negotiation, mediation and other ADR processes when appropriate, with a view to establishing and practising global, sustainable dispute management and resolution processes. It also encourages companies to establish systems-based approaches to dispute resolution within the corporate business model, including procedures for early case assessment. Read more about the Pledge here.
The agreement also provides that CEDR and CPR will collaborate on substantive programmes and initiatives to further the goals of the Pledge.
The new signatories to the Pledge in the UK will be publicly announced on 12 November 2013.
