The Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) is inviting interested parties in the UK to take part in its Mediation Audit 2014, run in conjunction with the Civil Mediation Council.  This is the sixth biennial audit that CEDR has conducted in the last 12 years as part of its not-for-profit work to raise the profile of commercial mediation.  (The results of the last audit are detailed on CEDR's website.)

The main audit questionnaire – which is for lawyers in private practice or in-house roles – includes questions about personal mediation experience, as well as views on the roles of mediators, providers, clients and their representatives.

The audit also includes a separate survey for mediators (including mediators who are lawyers).

Each survey should take no longer than 10 minutes and is conducted on an anonymous basis.

The survey closes on 2 May 2014.  The results will be published in full on the Civil Mediation Council and CEDR websites in late May 2014 and the first announcement of the results will be at the Annual Conference of the Civil Mediation Council on 22nd May 2014.
