At a launch event on 29 January 2020, the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) released updates to its ADR and mediation documents.
In a press release (available here), CEDR identified that the key drivers for the updates included the signing of the Singapore Convention in August 2019, the need for a holistic approach to the standards expected from mediators, the reaffirmed importance of ADR triggering clauses, and the need to ensure best practice after the end of a mediation.
The updated documents included:
- ADR Contract Clauses
- ADR Notice
- Mediation Procedure
- Mediation Agreement
- Settlement Agreement
- Tomlin Order
- Code of Conduct for Third Party neutrals
CEDR also issued a note on the Singapore Convention and the significance of the convention for lawyers. The note and all updated CEDR documents are available on CEDR’s website here.
