Following the success of the last two joint surveys on mediation in arbitration and attitudes towards mandatory mediation, we are pleased to announce that Herbert Smith Freehills is once again partnering with the London Chamber of Arbitration and Mediation to conduct a new snapshot survey on costs issues in mediation and arbitration.
The survey seeks to explore users' experiences of various costs-related issues in both dispute resolution processes (including potential differences between institutional and ad hoc arbitration and the differing amounts in dispute), such as recoverability, whether interest is awarded on costs, and how settlement affects costs.
Users of mediation and/or arbitration are invited to complete the short survey online here. The survey closes for responses on 31 July 2024.
We look forward to sharing the results and insights from the survey in due course.
