The UK and the EU have agreed on a second Article 50 extension until 31 October 2019 which may end earlier, should a withdrawal deal be ratified prior to this date. However, with deadlock between the Conservatives and Labour showing no signs of easing it remains unclear precisely what will happen next. In the meantime, Brexit is likely to have a major impact on next week's local elections. What messages will voters send and will there be any consequences for the Brexit negotiations?
Tom Henderson, Senior Associate and member of our core Brexit team, will be joined by Oliver Lewis (Hanbury Strategy’s Brexit team) for a webinar on Friday 3 May 2019, 1.30 – 2pm BST (a day after the local elections) to discuss the impact of the election results as well as the usual Brexit discussion points, including the present state of the negotiations, the likely next steps and Theresa May’s future as Prime Minister.
If you would like to register for the webinar, please contact Prudence Heidemans.
