At the time of sending this invitation, cross-party talks between the Conservatives and Labour remain in a deadlock with no sign of agreement being reached in time for ratification of a withdrawal deal before the forthcoming European Parliament elections. With this in mind, UK voters are going to be asked to cast votes for new MEPs 23-26 May 2019. Will the outcome of the elections change Number 10's course in its conversations with the Labour leadership? What will the newly formed European Parliament mean for the negotiated withdrawal deal? Will the Prime Minister remain in place notwithstanding the anticipated significant defeats?
Tom Henderson, Senior Associate and member or our core Brexit team, will be joined by Oliver Lewis (Hanbury Strategy's Brexit team) for a webinar on Tuesday 28 May 2019, 1.30-2pm BST, the first working day after the election results, to discuss the impact of the results as well as the usual Brexit discussion points, including the present state of the negotiations and the likely next steps.
If you would like to register for the webinar, please contact Prudence Heidemans.
