The UK Government has published the terms of reference for the future UK-EU relationship negotiations, which includes the negotiating timetable. At present, the negotiations are split into five rounds and are to take place in both Brussels and London over the next 3 months. The agenda for each round will be published in advance: the agenda for the first round (currently underway in Brussels) sets out the key topics to be discussed during this round.
The terms of reference also notes that: (a) informal discussions may also take place between the parties in-between the rounds if necessary; and (b) the UK and EU will convene in June 2020 "to take stock of progress, with the aim of agreeing actions to move forward in negotiations on the future relationship".
