Despite repeated calls for action from civil society, scientists and countries, human rights considerations have been inadequately integrated into COP negotiations and outcomes.
The Commission emphasizes the need for international cooperation in addressing environmental, social, and economic issues, advocates for inclusivity in decision-making, particularly of those from marginalised and vulnerable communities. A comprehensive and inclusive approach to environmental diplomacy, recognizing the interconnectedness of global challenges and the need to integrate human rights into environmental policies and actions.
