Herbert Smith Freehills LLP has published an article in the December 2021 issue of Butterworths Journal of International Banking and Financial Law -  'Diversity and inclusion: both a path and a destination'.

Over the last decade, the prominence of diversity and inclusion (D&I) has increased significantly, driven to some extent by movements such as #MeToo and Black Lives Matter. D&I also falls squarely within the ESG agenda. In the UK, D&I remains a strong focus of financial regulators and the FCA’s CEO, Nikhil Rathi, has stressed the importance of an organisation like the FCA being diverse and reflecting the communities it serves. Our article considers key implications for firms in the financial services sector.
