Webinar: The Prudential / Rothesay Appeal Hearing and Recent Changes to Market Practice for Part VIIs

A little more than 14 months has passed since the High Court rejected Prudential’s proposed annuity book transfer to Rothesay. In that time, we have represented insurers in some significant Part VIIs (including the transfer from Legal & General to ReAssure) and we have acted for the ABI as Intervener in the Prudential / Rothesay appeal. As the market waits for what will be a landmark judgment from the Court of Appeal, we look back at what has happened, assess the impact on market practice and give our thoughts on the three-day appeal.
