There are so many ESG-related publications and developments that it is hard to keep abreast of them all. For this reason, every two weeks, HSF publishes a tracker of ESG-related publications and developments, with a primary focus on developments that may be of most interest to or impact our clients in Spain, be they corporates, asset managers or asset owners.
Key updates covered in this edition include:
- the UN General Assembly has sought an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice on each state’s international law obligations towards combating climate change;
- the European Parliament and the European Council have reached provisional political agreement in relation to reinforcing the EU Renewable Energy Directive and deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure.
- Law 8/2023, of 10 March, amending Law 3/2008, of 12 June, on Forestry and Sustainable Forest Management of Castilla-La Mancha has been published.
- The Spanish Council of Ministers has approved the Preliminary Draft Law of the Integral Law for the Promotion of the Social Economy.
If you have any ESG-related questions, please get in touch with your usual contact at HSF who will be able to direct you as appropriate.
