There are so many ESG-related publications and developments that it is hard to keep abreast of them all. For this reason, every two weeks, HSF publishes a tracker of ESG-related publications and developments, with a primary focus on developments that may be of most interest to or impact our clients in the UK, be they corporates, asset managers or asset owners.
Key updates covered in this edition include:
- the International Sustainability Standards Board’s issuance of its first sustainability-related reporting standards;
- the European Commission and the High Representative of the EU’s adoption of a Joint Communication setting out how the EU will address the growing impact of climate change and environmental degradation in the fields of peace, security and defence;
- the Spanish Council of Ministers has approved Royal Decree-Law 5/2023 of 28 June to support the impact of the war in Ukraine and other vulnerable situations; and
- the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge has been authorised to communicate to the European Commission the draft update of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan 2021-2030 for the period between 2023 and 2030.
If you have any ESG-related questions, please get in touch with your usual contact at HSF who will be able to direct you as appropriate.
