A constant stream of Covid-19 related announcements have been made since the Summer, including details of the new Job Support Scheme replacing the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) from 1 November, the Job Retention Bonus and new criminal offences for employers knowingly permitting employees who should be self-isolating to return to the workplace.
Key upcoming dates include (i) employers who have overclaimed a CJRS grant and not repaid it must notify HMRC by the latest of either 90 days after the grant was received and 20 October 2020; and (ii) the CJRS ends on 31 October 2020 and the last date for claims is 30 November 2020.
