In this podcast, we interview Ashley Hamilton-Claxton, Head of Responsible Investment at Royal London Asset Management, to find out what impact the introduction of new ESG requirements for UK pension schemes a year ago, is having on the way pension schemes and asset managers assess and manage ESG risks. We also discuss the new requirement for schemes to prepare an implementation statement on voting, engagement and (for DC schemes) ESG risks, which applies from today and the DWP’s latest consultation on introducing additional requirements, initially for the largest schemes, to address climate-related risks.
