DIGITAL SERVICES ACT AND DIGITAL MARKETS ACT: A NEW ERA FOR ONLINE REGULATION
Thursday 25 February at 10am GMT / 11am CET
The first draft of the long-awaited Digital Services Act (“DSA”) and Digital Markets Act (“DMA”) legislative package was published on 15 December 2020 by the European Commission. As expected, it increases the obligations on digital service providers and introduces significant fines for non-compliance, pushing a greater onus onto the major tech companies to take responsibility for their role in relation to the internet and the digital ecosystem at large.
Join us on 25 February at 10am GMT / 11am CET for a live panel session to:
- discuss what this landmark regulatory package is likely to mean for stakeholders at all levels of the digital value chain;
- provide some contextual background to the European Commission's proposals and look at the likely next steps as the legislation continues its journey through the ordinary legislative procedure; and
- touch on some of the related developments at the UK and Member State level.
The panel will be comprised of experts from across our international network covering a variety of practices and sectors including competition, data, media and digital technology.
Please share this invitation with your colleagues who may be interested in attending this webinar.
