We help organisations capitalise on the transformational power of blockchain and digital assets.
Our global Emerging Technology Group lawyers have extensive experience advising on the full breadth of distributed ledger technology (DLT) and blockchain projects, often breaking new ground and shaping legal precedent.
This includes:
- Building and operating exchanges, platforms and networks
- Tokenising virtual and real-world assets, including non-fungible tokens (NFTs)
- Engaging with cryptoassets and decentralised finance (De-Fi)
- Establishing decentralised autonomous organisations
- Developing and using smart contracts, bridges, nodes and wallets
We are committed to supporting trailblazing work on blockchain and digital assets. We have partnered with the Digital Pound Foundation, a non-profit exploring a potential UK central bank digital currency (CBDC) and advised clients on the Reserve Bank of Australia's retail CBDC pilot, contributing to designing a fair balance between convenience and privacy.
Our lawyers also contribute to shaping the digital-asset ecosystem. We sit on the steering committee of Global Blockchain Convergence, chair the Digital Commerce Committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and are active members of Blockchain Australia and the Digital Law Association.
