Alex has acted for some of Australia’s leading renewables developers, financial investors, and the New South Wales Government on complex projects involving multiple workstreams, including leasing, planning and titling activities across a range of commercial, industrial, retail and regional portfolios in NSW. This often involves the co-ordination and project management of a large number of real estate components including complex titling arrangements, leasing transactions and acquisition of land. Alex is committed to providing clients with clear and concise legal advice tailored to their commercial outcomes
Background
Alex holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney. Alex is admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

- acting for Energy Corporation of NSW in relation to its development of the Central West-Orana Renewable Energy Zone, specifically the acquisition of energy hub land for the CWO REZ and the negotiation of complex interface arrangements with third party mining operators and local governments affected by the proposed alignment of the CWO REZ transmission line.
- acting for Origin Energy in relation to its acquisition of land tenure for hydrogen and sewer pipelines and underground electricity works in connection with the Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub, which involved comprehensive title due diligence of the infrastructure alignments and engagement with numerous affected stakeholders.
- acting for Lendlease in relation to the negotiation of commercial leasing arrangements with pre-commitment tenants at Blue & William, North Sydney, and Salesforce Tower, Circular Quay and negotiation of existing key tenancy arrangements at Barangaroo.
- acting for Grassroots Renewal Energy Platform on real estate aspects of the development, construction and debt financing of Bango Wind Farm, which is expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 100,000 homes using the world’s largest onshore wind turbines.
- acting for Tilt Renewables in relation to the land tenure arrangements for its 412MW Rye Park Wind Farm and 962MW Liverpool Range Wind Farm; ACEN Renewables in relation to its 720MW New England Solar Farm; and RES Energy in relation to the acquisition and development of its proposed Argoon Wind Farm.
