Aritra Chatterjee
Aritra is a Manager in the Digital Legal Delivery team.
Aritra works with financial institutions and corporate clients, advising on various documentation related to Derivatives, including ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, regulatory margin documentation and GMRAs. He also advises lenders and borrowers on hedging aspects of debt finance transactions. Aritra acts as a delivery manager for large-scale projects, including negotiating BAU documentation such as NDAs and "repapering" projects driven by regulatory change entailing counterparty outreach and negotiations.
Background
Before joining Herbert Smith Freehills in Belfast in 2022, Aritra worked in the India, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo offices of a leading international law firm, having worked on a range of leverage finance, asset finance and debt capital market transactions. Aritra also has experience as an in-house lawyer, having worked in two major investment banks' Derivatives and Structured Products teams.
