- acting on major corporate restructures and transformations, including the establishment of ANZ Bank’s holding company by scheme of arrangement, BHP’s dual listed company unification restructure and the demergers of Coles and South32 by Wesfarmers and BHP respectively
- advising on a range of acquisition and divestment transactions by private equity sponsors, including the acquisitions of Village Roadshow, TripaDeal and Hazeldenes Chicken by BGH Capital, and the acquisitions and subsequent IPOs of Inghams, Healthscope and Myer by TPG
- working on various takeover and scheme transactions, including the takeover responses by Santos to Harbour Energy, AU Healthcare Property Trust to the hostile scheme proposal by NorthWest and HDUF to the takeover proposal from APA
- other private M&A transactions, especially for founder owned companies (including the sale of PFD Foods to Woolworths and the proposed merger of Chemist Warehouse with Sigma) and in the energy and infrastructure sector (including AGL’s acquisition of Loy Yang A and various direct investments by Australian Super)
