Connie Ye
Connie specialises in the development of global energy and critical infrastructure projects.
Connie advises owners and sponsors on the structuring, construction, procurement and offtake aspects of large-scale, first-of-a-kind renewable and low-carbon energy transition projects. She has worked on all aspects of the project life cycle on matters in Asia, Middle East, the United States and Australia.
Connie has a particular focus on emerging 'new' energy projects including nuclear, carbon capture and storage, and sustainable fuels (including hydrogen and ammonia). She also has an interest in the intersection between the energy, infrastructure and space sectors.
Connie is a member of the Association of International Energy Negotiators and the Society of Construction Law (Australia).
Background
Connie is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and currently based in Singapore. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (English) from the University of Sydney.
Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, she was an associate in the energy team of an international law firm.
