Caitlin Walker
Caitlin specialises in M&A and corporate transactions, particularly healthcare, financial buyers and financial institutions.
Caitlin is a senior associate in Herbert Smith Freehills’ Australian healthcare practice. She advises on a range of mergers and acquisitions, corporate re-organisations, joint ventures, strategic alliances and corporate governance matters. Caitlin also has extensive experience advising private equity and trade buyers on corporate aspects of acquisitions.
Caitlin has been recognised in the “Best Lawyers – Ones to Watch” list for Corporate law in each year since 2023.
Background
Caitlin joined Herbert Smith Freehills in 2019. She is qualified as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland.
Prior to joining our Brisbane office, Caitlin worked on a large number of both public and private mergers and acquisitions in Brisbane and in the United Kingdom. These included a wide range of multi-national corporations, large public and private corporate groups and private equity firms in relation to local investments and global cross-border M&A.
