Daniel is a Junior Legal Review Attorney in the Digital Legal Delivery team.

Daniel verifies that only documents which are responsive to subpoena requests, not privileged, and not confidential are disclosed. The legal review process is designed to protect clients’ sensitive information from disclosure.

His experience in the legal review field is utilized to disclose necessary documents during the litigation process. He seeks to be responsive to both the need to disclose all required documents to opposing parties and the need to safeguard privileged communications, commercially sensitive information, and personal data. In addition, he analyses a large volume of disclosable documents for responsiveness to a multitude of issues. He strives to remain adaptable to the unique issues and fact patterns of each matter.

Since joining Herbert Smith Freehills in August 2021, Daniel has reviewed documents in a variety of matters, including:

  • A production of documents made in response to a subpoena issued by the United States Congress
  • Multiple matters involving major international commercial disputes
  • A review in which Continuous Active Learning (CAL) was deployed to assist with coding a very large quantity of documents on a tight deadline

 

Background

Daniel has 5 years of legal experience, primarily in the E-Discovery/Legal Review field. He has interned and worked in a variety of legal settings, ranging from government agencies to private law firms.
