Guillermo is a senior associate in the litigation and arbitration practice in the Madrid office, with special focus on the insurance and reinsurance sectors.
He advises on all types of transactions in the insurance and reinsurance markets, both domestic and cross border (M&A transactions involving insurance and intermediation companies, bancassurance joint ventures, business unit transfer agreements, design of complex insurance distribution schemes, etc.) and on regulatory matters, including insurance and reinsurance underwriting and distribution. He also has considerable experience in corporate matters and general M&A.

Background
He has a degree in law and a diploma on international business law programme by Universidad de Navarra. He has also a master's degree in corporate law (LLM) by Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Madrid. Guillermo holds a diploma in common law by the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He speaks Spanish and English. He is a member of the Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Vizcaya (ICAV).
