Hazel is a member of firm's CRT (Competition, Regulation and Trade) team. She has an extensive background in various competition matters, including merger control filings, competition compliance advisory, and assisting enterprises with handling antitrust investigations. She is good at establishing smooth communication channels between governments and businesses. she efficiently assists businesses to understand challenges raised by competition authorities, preparing effective countermeasures. Simultaneously, she aids competition authorities in fulfilling regulation procedures and meeting government requirements.
Her service extends to a wide range of industries including commodities trading, energy, consumer goods, retail, medical equipment, and public utilities. Additionally, she possesses rich knowledge in commodity trading, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and related corporate affairs. Before joining this firm, Hazel enriched her experience as a legal consultant, seconded to the China headquarters of a globally-renowned independent commodity trading and logistics company.
Hazel holds a master’s degree in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of Sheffield, UK. She is fluent in both English and Chinese, and is a qualified lawyer in the People's Republic of China (PRC).
