Ieva is an Associate in the non-contentious construction team, who is based in London.

Ieva is a construction lawyer specialising in advising clients on construction and engineering projects in the energy, infrastructure and real estate sectors in the UK and internationally.

Ieva spent time on secondment to a global offshore wind contractor who she advised on construction contracts (bases on FIDIC standard forms) at a tender stage.

Ieva's experience includes drafting and negotiation of building contracts based on the JCT, NEC, FIDIC, IChemE, LOGIC standard forms and bespoke arrangements, professional appointments, collateral warranties and other ancillary construction documents.

Background

Ieva completed her LLB in Law at Mykolas Romeris University (in Lithuania) and MA in Political Science at the UCL before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course. Ieva was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2021.

  • acted for a marine contractor in relation to reviewing, advising and drafting a bespoke EPC contract for a subsea interconnector off the east coast of the UK*
  • acted as a lead counsel on a £380 million offshore wind farm project in the US which involved collaborating with internal client stakeholders and advising on the EPC contract and ancillary documents at a tender stage*
  • acted for a large UK contractor on the complex supply chain procurement (based on NEC4) in relation to its appointment under a major defence framework*
  • acted for a multinational construction company in relation to red flag reviews of construction contracts (based on NEC) for various infrastructure projects at a tender stage*
  • acted for a specialist real estate fund in advising on a major commercial development with the value of £1 billion*
  • acted for an advanced purchaser in respect of a major mixed-use development with a value of well over £100 million*
  • acted for a developer on heat network agreements associated with the largest privately-owned development in the UK*
  • advised the project companies on operational variations to PFI social infrastructure projects*
