Isobel is a manager within the Digital Legal Delivery team.

Isobel is responsible for assisting in the management of Disputes matters and supporting instructing teams throughout the firm's global network to provide high quality outcomes for clients.

In recent years, Isobel has been heavily involved in a large-scale remediation scheme. Isobel supervises teams of legal analysts, senior legal analysts, solicitors and senior solicitors to deliver high quality services on remediation matters, litigation, arbitration, internal and external investigations, and regulatory matters for the firm’s clients.

Isobel is experienced in utilising legal technology to provide clients with innovative and cost-competitive solutions.

Isobel has spent time on secondment in the firm's London office and Melbourne office. The latter involved Isobel applying and sharing best practices with ALT's legacy Disputes team in Melbourne.

Background

Isobel was admitted as a Solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2011. Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, she worked as a paralegal within the legal team for the health and social care sector and then trained with a local general practice firm.

Selected matters

  • Managing workstreams on a large scale remediation scheme for a retail client including drafting and development of workflows and the communication of settlement offers to applicants. 
  • RBS Group in relation to the defence of a claim by shareholders relating to the largest rights issue in UK corporate history including management of large-scale disclosure exercise and litigation support.
  • Management of disclosure review for one of the UK's largest public transport groups in relation to a dispute concerned with pensions and follow-up tasks included inbound disclosure and chronology preparation.
