Jen Ru is an associate in the firm's corporate practice with a focus on energy transactions.

Jen Ru has experience in advising clients on cross-border acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and project development transactions, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sector. She has worked on a number of transactions in the upstream and downstream oil and gas, power, and renewables sector in Southeast Asia.

She has previously spent a year on secondment to a major Japanese trading corporation in Tokyo.

Background

Jen Ru holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Reading. She is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and an Advocate and Solicitor in Malaysia.

Jen Ru is fluent in English and has intermediate proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese and Malay.
