Jonas is an associate specialising in International Arbitration and Public International Law.
Jonas specialises in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations, under the aegis of major international arbitration rules including the ICC, LCIA, and SIAC Rules. He has acted as counsel in multinational disputes for major clients across a number of industries, predominantly in the energy sector. Jonas has particular experience in LNG-related disputes across Latin and North America.
Jonas also advises in bilateral and multilateral treaties, international trade agreements and public international law issues.
Jonas was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2021 and was seconded to BAE Systems (2020) and to bp (2021).
Background
Jonas holds a Master in Laws from Ghent University and an LLM in International Arbitration Law from Stockholm University.
A Belgian national, Jonas is fluent in Dutch and English.
