Kosta is a senior associate in our corporate team, who is based in our Sydney office.
Kosta is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer, with broad and extensive experience across the technology and media industries. He regularly works with clients from a broad cross-section of industry, including from highly regulated sectors such as financial services, the New Energy transition, telecommunications and aviation, as well as Big Tech, FMCG, transport, logistics, media and entertainment.
Kosta’s specialisations include:
- complex commercial contracts governing the sale or purchase of goods or services, and licensing of both tangible and intangible assets, for both customers and suppliers, with a particular focus on technology (hardware and software);
- helping clients procure, integrate and commercialise business-critical services that involve artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies and complex intellectual property arrangements, including providing legal risk management, data-mapping and governance advice, from use case inception to go-live; and
- advising corporate clients on all technology, data, privacy and intellectual property aspects of purchase and sale agreements, including due diligence support, corporate structure advice, transitional and other separation services, and the commercial contracting giving effect to arrangements under subsequent divestments and bolt-on acquisitions.
Background
Kosta holds a Juris Doctor (with Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Organisational Learning, from the University of Technology, Sydney. Kosta was admitted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2018.
