Lucas is a senior associate who qualified in Australia and has worked in London since 2013. Lucas has acted on a variety of property development, investment financing and leasing matters (in both the United Kingdom and Australia), and has worked on a number of energy sector-specific transactions. Lucas advises on a range of real estate services, including multi-phased developments and financings, joint venture investments and developments, for institutional and overseas funds developers and corporates on high-profile transactions.
Background
Lucas has a business degree (majoring in finance) and a law degree from the University of Technology, Sydney. Lucas graduated business with distinction (first class honours) and law with first class honours. He was awarded the University Medal for Law.

- British Land on the £5 billion regeneration of Canada Water, a 50-acre mixed-use development site in central London, involving a partnering agreement with Southwark Council. Our role advising on this project was recognised at the British Legal Awards 2022, where we were named Real Estate Team of the Year (October 2022)
- Oxford Properties on the sale of the Leadenhall Building (the "Cheesegrater") to CC Land for £1.15 billion
- Cain International and partners on the completion of its purpose-built student accommodation platform, including the simultaneous closing of two forward purchase and funding deals and a £250m development loan facility
- Alecta Pensionforsakring Omesesidigt, Allianz and Local Pension Partnership on their investments into DOOR, a fund which is a party to a substantial real estate joint venture with APG and Qatari Diar focused on the development and operation of residential rental assets in the UK
- abrdn on its £500m equity joint venture with John Lewis Partnership to develop 1000 build-to-rent homes across three sites
- Cain International on the £680 million residential and mixed-use development at The Stage, Shoreditch; its joint venture arrangements with Freo Group in relation to the Koryfeum business campus development in Munich; the acquisition, development and financing of a major office building in Paris and on the acquisition and financing of the 28 building Juno and Albatros office portfolio in Madrid and Barcelona
