Margaret specialises in restructuring, corporate insolvency and distressed/special situations lending.
Margaret has extensive experience across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious restructuring, insolvency and finance matters, having advised distressed companies, international and Australian bank creditors, bondholders, private equity funds, and insolvency practitioners.
Margaret is a member of the TMA NSW NextGen Committee.
Background
Margaret holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (Major in Finance) from the University of Sydney. She is admitted to practise in New South Wales.
Margaret also previously practised in London for a number of years at leading US international law firm, Latham & Watkins.

- Camp Australia on its successful debt and equity restructure whereby senior debt was right-sized, remaining debt was converted into equity and the creditors acquired the equity in the group.
- Genesis Care and its subsidiaries, as Australian counsel in relation to its US Chapter 11 proceedings, a A$300m debtor in possession financing and restructure of its $2bn debt load.
- SRG Global (formerly WBHO Infrastructure Pty Ltd) following its acquisition of the WA assets of the Probuild group and various litigation claims.
- the secured creditor and receivers of Altus Renewables and Altus GTP in relation to enforcement of security, the receivership and sale process, and issues arising from its voluntary administration.
- Deutsche Bank on its US$1.2bn cross-border financing of the acquisition by Key Safety Systems of the Takata Group out of multiple global insolvency processes
- the major Australian banks on various matters in relation to their security package, performing security reviews, enforcement options analysis and related advice.
