Mark is a senior associate in the London Dispute Resolution team.

He is based in our London office, and has previously completed secondments to Lloyds Banking Group's commercial banking litigation team and BP's upstream legal team. Mark has worked on a range of commercial disputes with domestic and international clients across multiple sectors, including banking, mining, energy, insurance and TMT.

Mark has a wide variety of commercial disputes experience.

  • a mining company defending a claim by a consultant for a success fee relating to a finance and equity raise
  • a retail franchisee in negotiations to exit from territories affected by the conflict in Ukraine
  • an arbitration claim by a large international mining company and related Judicial Review and Court proceedings in South Africa and Botswana, involving the defendant's failure to complete a share purchase
  • defending an arbitration claim against a mining company and its high net worth UBO relating to a loan and share option restructuring
  • Phoenix insurance group in a complex High Court claim relating to historic indemnities for significant PPI mis-selling liabilities
  • an investment management company on a contractual termination dispute with a supplier of IT development services, including an application to contest jurisdiction on the grounds of breach of a contractual dispute resolution procedure
