Michael Coney
Michael is a Solicitor in the Digital Legal Delivery Disputes Team.
Michael graduated from Queen's University, Belfast with a 2:1 Bachelor's Degree in Law, as well as receiving a Masters in Human Rights and Criminal Justice with Commendation and a Distinction from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. Admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 2021, Michael has experience with various matters of Litigation, Including Quantum/Loss Assessments, Personal Injury, Minor Approvals and Magistrates and County Court matters. Michael has assisted in high scale projects in HSF.
Michael has assisted on many high-profile matters in the Digital Legal Delivery Disputes team, working alongside teams in the Belfast Office and Instructing teams throughout the HSF global network. Michael has experience in document review for high profile inquiry, regulatory and disclosure exercises. He has experience in Quality Control of First Level Review, as well as assisting on Second and Third Level Review. He has experience in overseeing projects alongside senior members of the firm. In his previous roles prior to HSF, Michael has undertaken work in Litigation and Criminal matters which involved a client facing role, assisting in the preparation for hearings and potential settlement negotiations and pre-proceedings correspondence.

- been involved in high profile and large-scale disclosure exercises for projects including Public Inquiries, Financial Regulation and Disclosure, reviewing for Relevance, Privilege, Commercial Sensitivity and Personal Data
- undertaken Quality Control of the disclosable set for large-scale and volume intensive disclosure exercises
- assisted Teams within the Digital Legal Delivery Practice and the wider HSF Global Network
- assisted and Overseen Projects alongside senior members of staff within the Digital Legal Delivery Disputes Network
- involved with Second and Third Level Review for high-profile matters within Disputes
