Miguel is a junior associate in the finance practice in the Madrid office.

He advises domestic and foreign banks, financial entities, debt funds, institutional lenders, borrowers and sponsors on the structuring and implementation of sophisticated financing transactions, including acquisition finance, project finance, real estate finance, restructuring and corporate finance.

Background

He has a dual degree in Law and Business administration by Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE)(Spain) and a master's degree for Admission to the Bar by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain). He speaks Spanish and English. He is a member of the Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid (ICAM – Madrid Bar Association).

  • Stirling Square Capital Partners on the financing for an amount of €139 million, granted by The Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland, Goldman Sachs and Ardian acting Ardian as agent, for among other purposes, the acquisition of Gestion Tributaria Territorial's group and the refinancing of its existing financial indebtedness
  • Banco Santander on the financing for an amount up to €81 million, granted to a SPV controlled by Investindustrial for the acquisition of 51% of the shares of Virospack a leading developer and manufacturer of droppers for the beauty industry
  • Banco de Sabadell, Banco Santander, CaixaBank, BBVA and Abanca Corporación Bancaria, as mandated lead arrangers, on the financing for an amount up €211,000,000 to granted to Cartera Ceres, indirect subsidiary of Portobello Capital, for the acquisition of Sacyr Facilities by Portobello Capital and financing the capex/working capital needs of the Group
