Dr Oliver Duys is a corporate partner in the Düsseldorf office and specialises in M&A, Private Equity, and corporate law.
He has extensive experience in advising companies and private equity investors on complex, often cross-border mergers and acquisitions with a special focus on the energy and infrastructure sector. Oliver also advises on the establishment of joint ventures, the launch of funds and restructurings. His clients include German and international private equity investors, companies and fund managers and he also offers solutions for management participation programs and liability issues.
Oliver's expertise extends particularly to advising companies from the Middle East and India, whom he supports in a variety of international M&A projects.

Background
Oliver Duys completed the First State Examination in 1997 in Freiburg and the Second State Examination in 1999 at the Higher Regional Court (Oberlandesgericht) Düsseldorf. He obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of New South Wales in 2000 and holds a Doctor of Laws degree (Dr iur) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Bonn earned in 2001.
