Philippe Träm advises on complex patent litigation proceedings and issues relating to unfair competition.

Philippe Träm advises national and international clients in the fields of life sciences, biotechnology and high tech on intellectual property matters. He focuses on advising and representing clients in patent infringement proceedings as well as unfair competition litigation.

Additionally, Philippe has particular expertise in the enforcement of national and international trademark and design rights as well as the protection of trade secrets and know-how.

Philippe is a registered representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

Background

Philippe Träm graduated from the University of Bayreuth, with a focus on intellectual property. After his legal clerkship, he obtained his LL.M. at the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf with a specialisation on patent law.

Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Philippe Träm worked at a leading German commercial law firm in the fields of intellectual property and unfair competition proceedings. He advises in German and English and has basic knowledge of French and Spanish.
