Ridvan is a cyber and data security lawyer with extensive experience supporting clients in high-stakes breach response matters.
Drawing on his extensive past experience of a fast-paced, insurer-driven breach response practice, and with experience of working hand-in-glove with forensic IT and PR professionals, Ridvan is ideally equipped to support clients facing the challenges of operating in the digital age.
He regularly advises clients in respect of the immediate actions to be taken following a breach as well as follow-on investigations, managing press and client/employee enquiries, communications with a range of regulators and follow-on litigation arising from cyber disputes.
Ridvan also has experience of mediating technology disputes to successful resolution.
Ridvan joined Herbert Smith Freehills' cyber and intellectual property practices in 2022.
Background
Ridvan trained at Simmons & Simmons and spent three years in RPC's breach response team before joining Herbert Smith Freehills. He also gained pre-qualification experience at Goldman Sachs and Addleshaw Goddard.
