Richard is a corporate lawyer, specialising in investment funds, asset management and M&A.
Richard has experience in advising on the full spectrum of strategic investment fund and sponsor transactional matters, including: IPOs and secondaries of closed-ended listed funds; establishment of various PE and JV structures (English LP, Lux and Cayman); and LP-led and GP-led transactions. Richard has also advised on public and private M&A and restructurings of large and mid-cap asset managers and investment funds operating across several jurisdictions, sectors and markets, including advising on: schemes of arrangement and reconstruction, takeovers, and GP-stake acquisitions as well as strategic acquisitions and disposals of asset management businesses. Richard also provides general financial regulatory advice for both investment funds and asset managers.
From March to September 2018, Richard was on secondment in the Financial Risk Management (FRM) team at Man Group Plc.

Richard studied Geography at the University of Oxford and graduated in 2013 as the Burton Scholar with First Class Honours. Richard also read for the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) at the BPP University in London receiving a Distinction.
